Author Name    Gairdner, James

Title   Lollardy and the Reformation in England: An Historical Survey (set of 4 vols)

Binding   Cloth

Book Condition   Good

Publisher   London MacMillan and Co, Ltd 1913

Seller ID   210186

. ix + 578 + 506 + xliii + 415 + xiv + 422 pages. Vol 4 edited by Rev William Hunt. 4 volumes published 1908, 1908, 1911, 1913. Top of spine of Vol 1 a bit torn. The title indicates, not that the set is largely about the Lollards (only the first 284 pages are in Book 1: The Lollards), but that the set deals with the Lollards as well as the Reformation and, I think, attempts to contrast the two movements. The author was apparently an Anglo-Catholic and thus opposed to much of the Reformation.
