William Richardson (1745-1821) was an evangelical Anglican clergyman and an associate of Joseph Milner. In his memoir (not included with this book) he describes his early ignorance of what faith means, his disposition to Arminianism, and his becoming persuaded of the Calvinistic doctrines of Reformation Anglicanism; when he arrived in York in 1771 these beliefs were unusual.
